Two-Color Distress

  • Paint one color using broad “hashtag” strokes and allow to dry.
  • Paint a second color over the first and allow to dry.
  • Gently distress with 220 or higher grit sandpaper until base color “peeks” through. Sand more in areas that generally have more wear–like corners and raised areas.
  • Seal with BB Frösch Premium Finishing Wax in clear.
  • If desired, seal the first layer of paint with clear wax before applying the second color. This will help ensure that when the top color is gently sanded down, only the base color, and not the underlying surface, shows through.
